How to Use eBooks that are Accessible from Off-Campus.

★The SSL-VPN connection is convenient for off-campus access to eBooks.★

<Howto set up SSL-VPN>　Go to the General Information Center's website 

As with other online databases, eBooks can be used from off-campus via SSL-VPN connection, but the following packages can be accessed outside of the SSL-VPNconnection. When you use the eBook from within the university, IP addressauthentication is used, so you can use the eBook from the respective eBooksite.

*There is a limit to the number of simultaneous SSL-VPN connections, so you may not beable to connect.

The following eBooks can be used from off-campus without a VPN connection. E-books can usually / basically be searched on TIME-OPAC.

However,after you click the "IDENT" URL on the bibliography detail screen ofthe search result, you will be redirected to the respective eBook site. 

Whenusing off-campus networks, the authentication method differs depending on theeBook site, so please check the manual above.
